A photo a day in the life
For the past 3 years I've embarked on a project to capture one photo a day as a way to remind me about how fast and slow life can sometimes be. Not every day is the same and not every day is special, but every day is one more day I get to look back on and cherish the memories big and small. The video below captures this past year from October 23, 2016 through October 22, 2017. I can't believe it's been another year and life has changed in the blink of an eye.

Biking Portland to Portland: From the Sidelines
My brother Scott and his two friends, Josh and Jose are less than 24 hours away from finishing their 3,500 mile bike ride from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine all in the name of Pancreatic Cancer Research. Their tagline has been "Anyone can be a superhero" and they have met so many amazing people along the way that have helped them on their journey as they rode in their superhero t-shirts along America's roads.

Things only moms deal with in the workplace
What it means to have it all
Being able to "have it all" is something that I think about a lot. As a mom that works outside the home I'm in a constant work-life juggle to try and be all things to all people and have it all at the same time. Sometimes it feels like wanting to have my cake and eat it too. I always bring up how I can achieve this in conversation too, giving thanks to those that support me in my work life and home life. I couldn't do it all or have it all without them. Still, what does it actually mean to say that as moms we want to have it all?

I pulled out my Study Tours Counselor Guide today
Oh how life comes full circle. I had a recent request from the Global Affairs office to organize a tour to Washington D.C. for a group of international students. Flashbacks of Study Tours came flooding back. I worked to plan a great itinerary for the group and thought I would send them on their merry way. That did not go as planned.
